Pen's Leadership Team

Joining Pen in 2015, Tom initially led our Specialty division before taking on the role of CUO in 2017 where he was responsible for underwriting, capacity management, pricing, analytics, risk & governance and claims across Pen. In 2020, Tom was named our CEO following a successful period of sustained growth and underwriting profitability. Before Pen, Tom held a number of senior positions at RSA including Director MGAs and Delegated Schemes, having joined them as a Graduate Trainee 25 years earlier.

A high profile leader with over 28 years’ experience, Jennifer joined Pen in 2015 to lead our Financial Lines division. Under Jen’s leadership, new product lines, like Cyber, were been added as she strengthened performance and profitability across the board. In 2020, Jen took on the role of CUO where she’s responsible for capacity management, claims and pricing & reserving across Pen.

Passionate about innovation and fearless in challenging accepted norms, Nick is responsible for business development across Pen’s portfolio. His role is focussed on three core strategic elements: mergers and acquisitions, the hiring of talent and expertise in new niche sector or product areas, and investing in innovation to underpin the expansion of Pen’s e-trade capabilities.

Sarah took on the leadership of our newly combined UK & Ireland Commercial division in 2025, bringing together property, casualty, fleet and financial lines across the region, having previously served as MD of Specialty. Sarah joined Pen in 2020 as our Chief Financial Officer and is a chartered accountant by profession with more than 20 years’ strategic financial and commercial experience. She began her career in the investment banking and asset management industries before moving into insurance in 2012.

Adrian joined Pen in July 2016 and has over 25 years’ experience in professional and financial lines, including more than a decade in the cyber insurance arena. His experience encompasses a number of senior industry roles in the US at the forefront of the cyber sector, including Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer at Ridge Global, a cybersecurity firm founded and headed by former US Head of Homeland Security Tom Ridge.

Andrew is a Chartered Insurer and joined Pen in 2014 having worked at Lloyd’s for over 20 years. Specialising in delegated underwriting and portfolio management, Andrew’s roles at Pen have been as MD of Delegated Solutions, and now as MD of our SME & Household division, which also incorporates our home and commercial delegated businesses.

With almost 25 years of HR experience, Caroline is Pen's HR Director with a wider remit for EMEA for the Group. In this role, she is responsible for the people strategy across the Pen landscape, including culture and engagement, reward and recognition, performance management, recruitment and retention, succession and talent development.

With over 20 years’ experience, primarily in the specialist field of schemes and MGAs, Seb has been with Pen since its very beginning, building a great depth of insight and knowledge across three of our trading divisions. He now leads our highly experienced team of risk and insurance specialists in the Public Sector division, which counts more than 500 local government, police and fire authorities plus educational establishments as clients under the RMP brand, and also provides solutions for the social housing sector.

A chartered accountant by profession, Catriona joined Pen in July 2023 as our Chief Financial Officer, and holds responsibility for all finance activities across Pen. In her role, Catriona supports the delivery of our strategy through strong financial controls and processes and brought a wealth of corporate knowledge, commercial acumen and experience to Pen, having previously been UK Head of IBA Operations for the wider Gallagher group, and at Morgan Stanley and PwC before that.

A seasoned operations professional with 25 years’ insurance industry experience and a strong track record in improving operational efficiency and effectiveness, Hannah joined Pen in 2025 as Chief Operating Officer. Having worked at director level across risk, compliance and operations for many years in the UK broking sector, Hannah is responsible for ensuring Pen as a multi-class, multi territory specialist underwriting business has the operational capabilities, flexibility and scalability to deliver on its strategic business vision and ambitious growth plans.
